With the BABCP in London

On Thursday 16th March, David Kavanagh and Jackie Andrade delivered a workshop on Functional Imagery Training at the BPS London office. The workshop was organised by the London branch of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and attended by 50 delegates including two from Sweden and one from Belgium, which put the pressure on for a good performance.

We enjoyed wide-ranging conversations about applying FIT to gambling, depression, and dementia, among other topics. We were a little concerned that our live, unscripted FIT demonstration on trying to write big papers would not be sufficiently clinical, but it struck a chord with many in the audience struggling to make time for their own writing.
